About the yoga retreat
During the week we will use the precision of postures (asanas) to focus on different areas of our bodies. The practice of asana is not about doing the perfect posture. It’s about using postures to understand and transform ourselves. Each week is different, as we are evolving and the elements surrounding us are also changing. The weather, the group, everything plays a part of how our week develops. It is a beautiful game of fluidity and often a wonderful and unique experience.
The purpose of this workshop is to have the body and mind working together and being in harmony. Our yoga practice is the core of our week, but you will have free time in order to enjoy the nature of the island (swimming, hiking) and of course to rest!
All levels are welcome. Limited to 15 participants.

About Anafi

The island has a particular charm with its wild beauty and its location being out of the beaten track, it remains unspoilt and authentic. The beaches are sandy with crystal waters, and it is possible to find natural shade under the trees. The Chora has the typical Cycladic architecture with narrow streets winding upwards to castle ruins where you can watch the sunset and gaze across the imposing Kalamos rock. During the summer there are several artistic events and festivals taking place, which bring an extraordinary vibe and an alternative crowd on the island. The untamed beauty together with the artistic vibrations makes the stay in Anafi an unforgettable experience!

Practical details

The retreat starts in the evening of the first day (July 8th), at 18:30 with the group welcome yoga session then dinner, and our yoga practice ends in the evening of the last full day (July 14th), as most ferries depart very early the following morning (July 15th).
During the week, there are two daily yoga classes, one in the morning (8:00-9:30) and another in the evening (18:45-20:00), except on the day of the boat trip excursion, and the morning when you will have the possibility to hike up the Kalamos rock, Europe's second highest monolith after Gibraltar (with a breath-taking view!) The morning classes are generally more dynamic, while the evening ones are more focused on restorative positions and breathwork (Pranayama).
