Farm Solterre is located 1 hour to the south of Paris in a small village near the town of
Montargis. The estate adjoins a 16th century church and is made up of the remains of
the 19th century Solterre Castle burned during the war, and farm buildings from the
same period. The estate includes a 2-acre park bordered by a wall with the village on the other side.
There are beautiful pathways throughout the park which link the different buildings to
the estate's vegetable garden, orchard and swimming pool.
Accommodation
The rooms have been tastefully renovated to the highest standard with special attention
given to quality bedding and furniture. Rooms include an ensuite bathroom with
shower and most have french doors which open out onto the park. There are both shared and single rooms available.
Dining and Living Areas
Meals are taken in the main house or if weather permits outside in the shade of the trees in the park. The living areas include comfy
couches and chairs where there is tea/coffee and snacks available throughout the day.
Yoga Room
A stunningly renovated and spacious yoga room with a full set of props includes a view of the park. The vaulted barn ceiling and view creates an open feel connected to nature; the sprung wood floor is perfect for yoga practice.

Style of Yoga
Anna teaches a multi-faceted practice that spotlights the finer details of āsana, breath and being. A practice invites an embodied enquiry that may include detail, flow and stillness practices such as restorative, tai chi and meditation. Sessions are designed to enliven, ground and centre while releasing tension and promoting balance.
Sessions often include Restorative practice which fortifies nervous system balance through the support and comfort of bolsters and blankets. Postures are held long enough to notice patterns of holding and engage in a process of release through natural breath, awareness and presence.
Bio
Anna Ashby is a senior yoga teacher, trainer and author of the acclaimed book Restorative Yoga: Power, Presence, Practice for Teachers and Trainees(2022). Her unique style reflects a variety of influences including: dance, extensive yoga training focused on alignment and precision, restorative arts, tai chi and somatic movement. Much of her inspiration stems from her 12-year immersion in yoga practice while living in an ashram during the 1990s.
Innovating in her field for over 30 years, Anna leads workshops, trainings and retreats globally where she weaves in wisdom teachings and a variety of practices which encourage living with ease, joy and presence.
